At Hololabs, we take privacy seriously and this policy is designed to share what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. This policy applies to all data collected and processed through our games, interactive experiences (AR/VR), and mobile applications, as well as their related websites (together “Services”).

Information we collect

In order to improve our Services and provide the best user experiences, we collect a variety of anonymous usage data as well as personal data (together, “Information”), which can be categorized as follows:

  1. Anonymous Data:

    • For games, we collect and store player state, including current level, inventory, virtual currency balances, choices made during gameplay, and other progression data.

    • We also store unique client information such as an auto-generated player identifier, date of install, last visit, and transaction history related to virtual goods.

    • On our websites, we may collect your IP address, browser type, browser version, time and date of your last visit, pages visited, and other diagnostic data.

    • On mobile devices, we may collect the device model, operating system, language, and other anonymous device settings.

  2. Personal Data:

    • We may request personal contact information such as name and email address.

    • Some of our games feature in-game text input, such as a request for a player name, which we then store and may present to other players. In all such cases, players are able to choose any text they wish and are encouraged not to reveal personal information.

    • For customer support requests, we may collect messages, emails, chat logs, screenshots, and any other content related to the inquiry.

    • We may also ask players for feedback in the form of surveys, in-app forms, and questionnaires. These are always voluntary, allowing players to opt out at any time.

    • We may store marketing and communication preferences.

  3. Location Data:

    • We may collect coarse location data based on your IP address (eg, country, province/state, city).

    • Additionally, if you give us permission to do so, some of our Services make use of your current location to provide in-app features and gameplay. We do not store or share this location, but we may collect and store nearby point-of-interest locations with which you have interacted.

  4. Photos and Videos:

    • Some of our Services include the ability to capture photo and video content from the player’s camera, with superimposed augmented reality content. This feature requires explicit permission from each player, and we never transfer or store this content to our servers.

    • Photos and videos captured using our Services may be stored or shared by players themselves - eg, by saving to the device’s camera roll or sharing via social media. In such cases, the privacy of that content is governed by the policies of those other third-party tools.

  5. Tracking Data and Cookies:

    • We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity provided by our Services.

    • Cookies are files sent by our websites and stored on players’ devices. These contain data that may include an anonymous unique identifier, as well as session information and preferences.

    • You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies or to indicate when cookies are being sent. However if you refuse cookies, you may not be able to use some aspects of our Services.

  6. Data Obtained from Third Parties:

  7. Payment Data:

    • We may provide paid products within the Services using a third-party service for payment processing.

    • We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

    • The payment processors we work with are:

      1. Apple Store In-App Payments, whose Privacy Policy can be viewed at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
